Our Story
“Ela” means “come.”
Come in, sit down, eat with us. That's the whole idea. Ela Kendro is a family-run Greek and Cypriot restaurant that's been at the heart of Gillingham on Watling Street since 2016.
The cooking is the food we grew up on. Meze built for sharing, meats straight off the charcoal, and the kind of warm, noisy evening that makes people stay longer than they planned.
Around the Table
Expect meze to pass around, souvlakia and souvla from the grill, slow-cooked kleftiko, and a bar stocked with Cypriot and Greek wines, ouzo and Metaxa. Weekends fill up fast, so book ahead and bring people you like eating with.
